There's nothing worse than spending 10 minutes scraping windshields and piling in the car just to be greeted by a locked door at your destination. Make sure to note that each of these stores' hours may vary by location, so use the online store locators or call ahead before you head out the door. Come the next day, you'll have fewer choices. Your options are much better on Christmas Eve, of course, so try to dash out for any last-minute Christmas gifts or necessities at that time. But s ome grocery stores, convenience stores, and dollar stores do stay open for the big holiday. Most stores, including many grocery stores, are closed on December 25. You might be one stick of butter short for your Christmas cookies, or missing the secret ingredient from Grandma's famous holiday ham. No matter how much time you spend preparing your grocery list for the Christmas dinner (safe to say you've made a list and checked it twice), when it comes time to cook, there's always that one thing missing.
